HOW TO: Use the Win10 Application Checker Tool

Purpose

The Win10 Application Checker allows you to look up your applications to see if they have been tested and are available to use on a Windows 10 desktop or laptop.

  • Before you upgrade to Windows 10, use the Application Checker Tool to check the status of your applications.
  • You should not upgrade to Windows 10 if applications that are critical to your day-to-day work have not yet been certified.

Status Codes

Certified

Applications listed under this category have been tested by the application owner and work properly on a Windows 10 PC.

Not Certified

Applications listed under this category have not been certified by the application owner and are not available for use on Windows 10.

*Note: Each week applications are tested and move to the Certified category.  Check back often to review your list of applications. 


How To Check Your Applications

1. Log in to workspace.partners.org

2. Click the Apps tab

3. Search for Win10 Application Checker

4. Click Open

5. Type in the User ID (Mass General Brigham User Name). Click Search.

6. Search results display a list of Certified Apps and Not Certified. There are 3 options to review your search results:

    • Scroll through the on-screen list
    • Click the print button to print the list
    • Click the export button to export to Excel
