Do you have a question or storage use case not described here? Please email rcc@partners.org for consultation.
Scenario A: I mostly use the cluster/scientific computing.
Solution: Sign up for Briefcase and MAD. If you’d like to share results from your analysis from ERISOne, request an RFA drive to copy data and share with your internal collaborators.
MAD3 Storage
Scenario B: I mostly have files and want share them all with the same people
Solution: Request an SFA.
SFA Storage
Scenario C: I have a lot of data and administrative files. I don’t want to have multiple drives, but instead have them all in place. However, I have a lot of different people using those files for different reasons: 1, I have multiple project with certain people in my lab who need access to some projects but not others. 2, I have PI’s who are working on grants and budgets. These are sensitive and I only want managers and financial administrators to have access to these budgets. 3, I have a financial analyst who manages my budgets and I’d like for the 2 of us and maybe others of my choosing to have access.
Solution: Use RFA. One drive, multiple sub-folders, each can have a separate set of permissions. You can backup your files to MAD or request they be backed up to the enterprise backup system.
