The review and negotiation of a Data Use Agreement (DUA) is centrally managed by Research Management. Visit the Research Navigator for up to date information regarding initiating this type of agreement with collaborators. Please direct questions and concerns to a Research Management mailbox specific to the hospital you are working with: @email, @email or @email.
A variation of the standard DUA, the Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) Data Use Certification is also reviewed by Research Management. The researcher is required to work with Digital Research to address security requirements surrounding the data including systems, lab and building security, data flow and training; this is documented in an Insight deliverable that becomes operational once an application is submitted to request data. To expedite these requests, make sure your Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training is up to date.
Digital Research and RISO (Research Information Security Office) also assist researchers with responding to the required security questions for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and state Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) dataset requests.
