PEAS Enrollment Required for all Apple Macintosh Products

Applies To: All Users

The IT Asset Management Standards for Apple Macintosh Products (EISS- 8.1d) are effective as of August 1, 2015. The standards require all institutionally owned or issued Macintosh devices (devices purchased with corporate or hospital funds, including research grants, and donated equipment) be enrolled in the Partners Enterprise Apple Support (PEAS) program

The standards also require that personally owned Macintosh laptops, used as the primary device for accessing Partners systems or data (including email), validate compliance with IS Policies, Standards and Procedures such as encryption. Currently, there is only one acceptable method of validation: PEAS.

Through PEAS, Partners collects system information relative to compliance, security, and support. No personal data is captured.

The standards do not apply to iPads and iPhones. For more information, please visit the PEAS FAQ.

How do I enroll my Mac in PEAS?

Visit https://rc.partners.org/it-services/desktop-mobile-services/enroll-peas for instructions. The process takes less than 2 minutes and you will not need to reboot. To check if you’re already enrolled in PEAS, open your Applications folder. If the Self Service application is listed, you’re enrolled.

For assistance, contact the Service Desk.

Thank you.
