Training

These weekly sessions are a mix of training and show-and-tell for learning useful R tips just like the Enterprise Research IS R User Group Meeting. R is a free and open programming language for statistical computing, data analysis, and graphical visualization. In this weekly meeting, one small topic is covered at one time (45 min - 1 hr) in a very friendly, relaxed way so that many beginners can join without any difficulties. Topic and level of difficulty will be announced a couple of days before so that you know what to expect ahead. No need to register. Anybody can join; see MS Teams Meeting information for details (Mass General Brigham login will be required to access the meeting link).

New Service from RISC

  • NEW RISC data catalog platform is now available for MGB researchers

We proudly present RISC Dashboard: Research Information Science and Computing hosted by Collibra. The new data catalog tool is becoming a central location for the data definitions for assets within RISC repositories, starting with COVID-19 research tools and the RPDR data dictionaries. Any Mass General Brigham researcher has access to navigate to multiple data dictionaries, where the information is displayed in an organized and concise view. This allows researchers, like you, to get better visibility into everything we have to offer. You are able to review available data for your research evaluation without the need to get access to the data itself.  The tool currently contains some RISC data dictionaries, application dashboards, and MORE! The Tutorial Video may be a good starting point!  Future expansion of this valuable platform will allow the RISC team to help you broaden and optimize your research data discovery and exploration.
