What operating systems are supported?
As of 1/1/2021, Code42 (CrashPlan for Enterprise) supports the following client OSs:
- Linux - RH Enterprise Linux 7.6 or newer, Ubuntu 16.04 or newer
- Mac - masOS Mojave 10.14, macOS Catalina 10.15, macOS Big Sur 11
- Windows - Windows 8.1, Windows 10 version 1803 and newer
What version of operating system is my computer running?
- masOS --> Apple menu --> About This Mac.
- Windows 10 -> Start menu --> type "winver" --> select and run "winver".
How to find your computer's hostname?
- macOS --> Apple menu --> System Preferences --> Sharing. Your computer’s hostname is displayed beneath the computer’s name at the top of Sharing preferences. Ignore the ".local" part of the name.
- Windows 10 --> Start menu --> type "About" --> select "About your PC". The hostname is usually the "Device name" or an abbreviated version of it.
How to check if your computer is being backed up?
- Logon to http://backup01.partners.org:4285/console/ with your CrashPlan app credentials to see a list of computers registered under your subscription.
- Click on each computer to see see how much data is backed up, pending, last activity, etc.
How to remove a computer from being backed up?
- Login to https://rcservices.partners.org/subscriptions with your MGB credentials
- Find you CrashPlan subscription
- Select the Actions dropdown menu on the right-hand column --> Edit
- Uncheck the computer(s) you don't want backed up
- Click Update Subscription
How to change funding source(s) for the backup service?
- Login to https://rcservices.partners.org/subscriptions with your MGB credentials
- Find you CrashPlan subscription
- Select the Actions dropdown menu on the right-hand column --> Edit
- Click Change Funding Source
- Update funding info
- Click Update Subscription
