This hands-on training is offered exclusively to the early adopters of the IDEA (Integrated Data Environment for Analytics) Platform. The IDEA 101 Training will introduce you and your team to the applications currently supported in the platform. The ERIS Scientific Computing Team will show examples on how to connect to IDEA and use the Hadoop tools currently available for the pilot.

- Import data to HDFS from MySQL and other databases using Sqoop
- Creating HAWQ schemas and tables

- Send python Spark jobs with spark-submit
