We’re pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a new Posit Workbench server on June 16, designed to enhance your data science experience. Posit Workbench is the modern evolution of RStudio, supporting RStudio, Jupyter Notebook, and VS Code in one unified environment.
As part of this transition, the current server (rstudio1) will be taken offline on June 16 to undergo a system upgrade. To ensure continued access to your data science tools, a new server will go live on June 16. We will send a separate email that day with the new URL and login instructions. Please be on the lookout for that message.
What to Expect
- R users: No migration is needed on your end. Your R environment (R 4.4.0 and packages) will remain consistent on the new server.
- Python and VS Code users: You’ll be able to take advantage of the integrated Jupyter Notebook and VS Code features offered by Posit Workbench.
