Mandatory Research Misconduct Prevention Education

Partners has developed mandatory online training for Principal Investigators (PIs) in Research Misconduct Prevention.  PIs have 60 days to complete the training after receiving notification from the Partners Research Compliance Office.

The training is focused primarily on federal research misconduct requirements for Public Health Service-funded research, the group of Health and Human Services Agencies, e.g., NIH, CDC and FDA, which provides the majority of Partners federal research funding.  In addition to definitions and regulatory and policy requirements, the training also identifies what a PI should do when a research misconduct allegation is brought to his/her attention and best practices for fostering a culture of compliance and integrity within labs and research groups.    Upon successful completion, physicians are eligible to receive CME credit.

All members of the research community – Co-Investigators, Research Associates, Postdoctoral Fellows, Graduate Students, and Research Administrators – are encouraged to complete the program.  Don't wait until you become a PI!

Questions about the training should be sent to the Partners Research Compliance Office, phsrcr@partners.org
