Do you manage an application in Azure? Important changes are coming to that may impact your application.
Starting in March 2025, Microsoft will be requiring that all user-based accounts logging into Azure use MFA. This will be a breaking change for any applications in Azure relying on a user-based service account. This is a change being made to the entire Azure platform by Microsoft and exceptions cannot be provided by MGB.
To prevent interruption of service, all applications currently using user-based service accounts to access Azure must be moved to using service principles on or before March 1st. If your application relies on a user-based service account to access Azure, please use the following link to request this change: Cloud Only Azure Register APPID |ServiceNow. After completing this form, please indicate High Priority for the ticket request.
If you are unsure if your application relies on a user-based service account to access Azure, please submit a Cloud Consult: Cloud Architecture Consult | ServiceNow
