Proper notification and connection settings ensure that alerts of new messages and unread messages are displayed when the application is not running.
Ensure notifications of new Cortext messages will display on the lock screen
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Sound and Notifications > Notifications on Lock Screen
Ensure the following settings are on:
- Show Content
Ensure the phone push notifications are on for Cortext
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Sound and Notifications > Application Notification > Cortext
Ensure the following settings are set:
- Allow notification = On
- Set as priority = On
- Preview in pop-ups = On
- Hide noti. On Lock screen = Off
- Hide sensitive content = Off
Ensure cellular connection settings are appropriate
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Data Usage
Ensure the following settings are set:
- Mobile data = On
Ensure cellular connection settings for Cortext are appropriate
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Data Usage > Cortext
Ensure the following setting is set:
- Restrict background data = Off
Ensure phone Wi-Fi avoids poor connections
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced
Ensure the following setting is set:
- Avoid bad Wi-Fi connections = On
Turn off power saving mode
Setting Location: Phone Settings > Power Settings > Battery > Battery saver
Ensure the following setting is set:
- Battery saver should be Off
Do not “kill” Cortext application with a 3rd party or built in application task killer
Ensure Cortext alert settings are enabled
Setting Location: Open Cortext > Cortext Settings
There are two message types and each can have their own alert tones, volume, and repeat settings:
- Urgent
- Routine
Ensure alerts and repeating alerts for unread messages is on
Setting Location: Open Cortext > Cortext Settings > Alert Details
Ensure the following settings are set:
- Vibrate = On
- Sounds = On
- Selected Sound = User Preference
- Repeat = On
- Repeat Alerts = User Preference
- Time Between Alerts = User Preference
