How to Share a Folder in Syncplicity for your Mac, Windows 10 or Surface Pro

Note, this document assumes that you have successfully installed Syncplicity and logged into your account. If you have not already done so, please complete the steps to download and install Syncplicity on your device. Due to a current limitation of the Syncplicity client you can not share a folder that is contained within a folder that is already being shared. Please see the document regarding the Best Practices for Setting up Syncplicity for tips on how to setup your folders.

  1. Right-click (or control-click) Folder you wish to share to bring up the contextual menu. Select Syncplicity ---> Share Folder

  2. You will be automatically be brought to the Syncplicity web portal. Enter in the email addresses of the people you with whom you want to share this folder. Select whether these people should be Editors (Read and Write) or Readers (Read Only). Optionally type in a welcome email and click on Share Folder

  3. Syncplicity will automatically email the recipients and display a status of who has access to your shared folder
