Purchase a BioRender Portal license

BioRender Portal License: Getting Started

Overview

  • The ERIS Research Computing Core has negotiated a discounted price for Researchers to purchase BioRender
  • BioRender is a web-based application to help scientists create and share beautiful, professional scientific figures. 
  • The purchase is for a single BioRender license; licensed per person.
  • The cost is an annual fee of $185. Licenses epire annually on April 30th, and a User must reorder. There is no prorating for a license purchased later in the year.
  • Software pricing is available on the ERIS Website (Log in required).
  • Mass General Brigham does not provide support for BioRender; Users must contact the vendor.

Requirements

  • You must have an active Mass General Brigham Username.
  • You must be connected to the Mass General Brigham Network or on VPN.
  • You must create a BioRender account to use the license.
  • BioRender is compatible across different OS and browsers.

Order BioRender

  1. Via a Web Browser go to the internal website https://rcservices.partners.org.
  2. Click on Software.
  3. Locate BioRender and then click on the Order button.
  4. Log in with your Mass General Brigham username and password.
  5. Next select the Fund number you wish to use to pay for the software. Or add a new fund.
  6. Then click the Create Subscription button to complete the order.
  7. You will receive a confirmation email from rcc@partners.org with a link to the BioRender portal.

Accessing the License

Once ordered, a User will receive a confirmation email with a link to the BioRender web portal.

Your license may be used on any operating system.  You simply need to log in to the BioRender web portal and add your Mass General Brigham credentials.

Support 

  • The Research Computing Core does not provide support for BioRender, but the vendor is readily available to assist.
  • With the purchase of the software you have support from BioRender

    • BioRender offers a Live Chat feature, during business hours.
    • Biorender's FAQ page has answers to many of your support questions
    • Additional support is provided by emailing support@biorender.com.  Please be sure to reference that you are part of the Mass General Brigham license.
