HOWTO: Connect to the Azure Enclave using Windows App (Formerly RDC) | MAC OS

This document describes: (1) Download Windows App (formerly Remote Desktop Connection (RDC)) from MAC App Store (2) How to open RDC (3) Connecting to the Azure Enclave and (4) Accessing Shared Workspace (F Drive).

Prerequisites

• Access to your Project Workspace in the Azure Enclave has been provisioned.
• You received a unique Azure Enclave Project Workspace IP Address to connect to your Project Workspace using Windows App.
• You must access your Azure Enclave project workspace either on an approved computer within the Mass General Brigham (MGB) network or via MGB VPN.

1. Download Microsoft App (Formerly Remote Desktop (RDC)) from MAC App Store

On your MAC in the App store, search for and download the Microsoft App application.

2. Open Windows App

Once downloaded, click on the app icon to open. If it's your first time using Windows App, navigate through the tour to learn more about Windows App, then select Done, or select Skip.

1. On your initial setup, follow this Microsoft Connect To Remote PC instructions using the Windows App to setup your connection.
2. When prompted to connect to the project workspace, the following entry should be used for the PC Name. Type the full unique Project Workspace IP Address provided to you once your ServiceNow project workspace access request was provisioned.
3. When prompted for your user credentials. Enter your MGB User ID prefaced by PARTNERS\ (e.g partners\mgb123), enter your MGB Password.
4. Continue to bypass the certificate warning.
5. After connecting*, you should see your Azure Enclave project workspace open in a separate window.

• • *If this is the first time connecting to your workspace, please allow for some initial extra workspace configuration time to finalize setup.

3. Access the Shared Workspace (F Drive)

Within your Project Workspace, open File Explorer and select This PC icon. The Data (F): drive is the shared project workspace location. Currently all project workspace members are granted full permissions to this drive.

Please always include your unique Project Workspace IP Address on all communications and mention you have an Azure Enclave workspace.
