Email forwarding & leaving
Due to health information privacy concerns, Mass General Brigham cannot forward mail from your Microsoft Exchange email account to another email account outside of the organization. Instead, you can create an "out of office" message in your Microsoft Exchange email account indicating that you are no longer with Mass General Brigham (MGH, BWH) and that the sender should re-mail the correspondence to the email address you specify.
The employee termination process, through the Peoplesoft HR system, automatically disables user account privileges. Normal de-activation of the Mass Microsoft Exchange email account occurs within two weeks of termination. If you have other need to extend your message or access please complete the Network Resource Extension form.
Outlook Out Of Office Assistant and Mass General Brigham Email
By default, the Outlook Out of Office Assistant, when activated, only sends OO messages to users emailing you from within Mass General Brigham and its affiliates.
