Enroll your Mac into the Program for Enterprise Apple Services (PEAS)

Purpose:

  • Instructions for how to enroll your Mac into the Program for Enterprise Apple Services (PEAS)
  • After PEAS is installed, additional software is required for compliance on a Mac. Go to installing Forescout SecureConnector and Crowdstrike -
  • After enrollment in PEAS and compliance software are completed, reboot your Mac and you will be prompted to encrypt with FileVault. 

Requirements:

  • Platform: Apple macOS
  • OS Versions: 12, 13, 14 ( To check your OS versions go to the Apple  in the upper left of your screen and click on About this Mac)

 

       
 

 

Instructions for MacOS 13 and up (MacOS 12 instructions further down):

  1. Using Safari (no other browser), go to the URL http://enroll.partners.org
  2. Enter your Mass General Brigham username (e.g. jha12) and password and click Log In button
  3. Click Continue. A file named CA Certificate.mobileconfig will be downloaded.

  4. Double click to launch the file CA Certificate.mobileconfig from your Downloads folder, System Settings Profiles will automatically launch. If System Settings does not automatically launch, launch it manually and then open Profiles (Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security >scroll down and click Profiles ). Double click the CA Certificate listed under Downloaded then click Install. If prompted, type in the local password for your computer.

  5. Return to Safari and click Continue. 

  6. Double click to launch the file enrollmentProfile.mobileconfig from your Downloads folder, System Settings Profiles will automatically launch. If System Settings does not automatically launch, launch it manually and then open Profiles. Click MDM Profile, Install, then Continue. Click Install again and when prompted type in the local password for your computer.
  7. Within approximately 5 minutes, the Self Service application will download and be available in your Applications folder. Open Self Service and enter your MGB user name and password and hit Return to download Enterprise software and services.

  8. Congratulations! You are now enrolled in PEAS! Check Self Service regularly for new updates and applications. If you do not have encryption enabled on your Mac, reboot your device and PEAS will prompt you to enable FileVault encryption on startup. Instructions for MacOS 12 and below:

  1. Using Safari, go to the URL http://enroll.partners.org
  2. Enter your Mass General Brigham username (e.g. jha12) and password and click Log In button

  4. Double click to launch the file CA Certificate.mobileconfig from your Downloads folder, System Preferences Profiles will automatically launch. If System Preferences does not automatically launch, launch it manually and then open Profiles (Apple menu > System Preferences > Profiles > & Download Profile). Click Install. If prompted, type in the local password for your computer.

  5. Return to Safari and click Continue. 

  6. Double click to launch the file enrollmentProfile.mobileconfig from your Downloads folder, System Preferences Profiles will automatically launch. If System Preferences does not automatically launch, launch it manually and then open Profiles. Click MDM Profile, Install, then Continue. Click Install again and when prompted type in the local password for your computer.

  7. Within approximately 5 minutes, the Self Service application will download and be available in your Applications folder. Open Self Service, and enter your MGB user name and password and hit Return to download Enterprise software and services.
