Overview:
REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a web-based platform used to support research studies, quality improvement and operational projects. Primarily, it helps research teams collect, manage, and report data throughout the lifecycle of a study, including participant enrollment, electronic consent, survey and data collection, and study workflow tracking. REDCap enables investigators to efficiently organize research information while supporting institutional privacy and security requirements.
Primary users are Researchers, Principal Investigators (PIs), Study Coordinators, and Research Staff.
Core Capabilities:
- Create and distribute electronic consent, surveys and questionnaires to study participants.
- Collect, store, and manage research and operational data in a secure environment.
- Track study activities, participant progress, and project-specific workflows.
- Generate reports and export data for analysis and regulatory reporting.
