Research Computing provides three options for hosting websites for Researchers within Partners-affiliated hospitals (BWH, MGH, McLean, etc). 

 Shared Hosting Options:

• Option 1: Host your website on our shared Apache Web Servers running Linux and MacOS supporting HTML and PHP pages you design.
• Option 2: Host your website on our shared Wordpress server and you pick out a template that works best for your needs.
• Technology: Apache, Perl, PHP, MySql, Wordpress
• Host OS: Linux and MacOS
• Backup: All shared websites are backed up every other day
• Domains Supported: bwh.harvard.edu, mgh.harvard.edu, mclean.harvard.edu & partners.org
• Access: Available Internally and Externally (Internet Facing)
• SSL Support: Free WIldcard certificate for partners.org domains other domains the user needs to purchase the certificate
• Hosting Guidelines

 Virtual Server Option :

• Option 3: Get your own Virtual Server that you manage via our DIPR Cloud environment.  On DIPR you may build your own server.  Please see the DIPR page for more information.
• Technology: VMware ESX 4.1
• Host OS: Linux and Windows (User provides the media for Windows)
• Backup: Not Provided
• Database: Provided via our shared database infrastructure
• Domains Supported: bwh.harvard.edu, mgh.harvard.edu, mclean.harvard.edu & partners.org
• Access: Available Internally and Externally (Internet Facing via a Proxy Server)
• SSL Support: Free WIldcard certificate for partners.org domains other domains the user needs to purchase the certificate
