Q. Once my emails are moved to the Enterprise Vault, how can I view or access my archived emails?

A. There are four ways to access your archived emails:

1) Fully Supported Email Clients:

  • All archived emails will show up in your Partner Inbox or a sub folder under your inbox depending how you originally organized your email.  Once an email message is in the Archive you will only see a truncated version of the message with a link to the archive.  You will need to select the archived email message and click the "Restore" button on the toolbar or you can click on the link “View the original item” to view the full email message from the Enterprise Vault Server.  We are working to make the Archive Website available externally (outside the Partners Network).  You will be able to search on any message that has been archived in your inbox with the built-in search features in Outlook and Entourage or you can click on the "Search" button to search the archive via a web browser.  You will be able to access the Archive via a web browser to search, view and restore archive emails which will show up as restored folder in your email client.

2) Compatible Email Clients:

Q. What are the Enterprise Vault policies?

A. Emails that are older than 2 months or larger than 5MB are automatically saved to your Vault.  A shortcut to the email appears in your mailbox so you can easily access the message.  Since all of this is automatic, there’s nothing you need to do.

Q. I was just archived and I don't see any of my emails?

A. For the pilot, shortcuts are only available for emails that are less that a year.  To see or find emails older than a year you need to search the Archive at:  https://archive.partners.org/EnterpriseVault

Q.  If I am using the Enterprise Vault plug-in how do I login?

A. After you have installed the Enterprise Vault plug-in you will need to enter your Partners Username and password.  You will be prompted to login like the picture below.

Q. I am using Apple/Mac Mail or another email client that does not support the Enterprise Vault plug-in, will it work with Enterprise Vault solution?

A. Yes, you will be able to see all emails in the Archive but will only see a truncated version of the original email.  You will need to click on the link “View the original item” to view the full email message.  This will open a web browser and connect to the Enterprise Vault.  You will need to enter your Partners Username and password.

Q. I am using a Macintosh and I currently have all my old email stored locally on my Mac, how can I can get them into the Enterprise Vault?

A. Once your Partners Email Account has been setup to use the Enterprise Vault you need to move those local stored emails into your Partners email Inbox.

Q. If I keep adding emails to my Partners Inbox won't my mailbox exceed my limit?
