Purchase a NVivo portal license

NVivo Portal License: Getting Started

Overview

• Enterprise Research Infrastructure & Services (ERIS) has negotiated a discounted price for employees to purchase a NVivo portal license. 
• NVivo is a software program for qualitative research.
• The purchase is for a single, annual NVivo portal license.  Licenses are for individual use only and may not be shared.
• The cost is an annual fee for a NVivo portal license, which renews March 1l, regardless of purchase date. We cannot prorate.
• We do not offer Collaboration Cloud or Transcription licenses. 
• All upgrades within a license year will be available at no additional cost.
• Each license owner must create a myNVivo portal account, to install and use their license. 
  
  
  • The same credentials used to order the software must be used to set up your myNVivo portal account
• Software pricing is available on the ERIS Website (Log in required)
• The recommended browser is Google Chrome.
• Mass General Brigham does not provide support for NVivo, users must contact the vendor.

Requirements

• You must have an active Mass General Brigham Username.
• You must be connected to the Mass General Brigham Network or on VPN.
• You must create a myNVivo portal account to use the license, using your Mass General Brigham credentials

Order NVivo

1. Via a Web Browser go to the internal website https://rcservices.partners.org.
2. Click on Software.
3. Locate NVivo and then click on the Order button.
4. Log in with your Mass General Brigham username and password.
5. Enter a valid fund number.
6. Then click the Create Subscription button to complete the order.

Once submitted, the User will receive a confirmation email with the license key and the link to set up your NVivo profile on the portal

Accessing your NVivo license

• Create a myNVivo profile, using the same MGB credentials that were used to order the license (link provided in your order confirmation)
• Download NVivo using the link(s) in the access notification email, and install. 
• Start NVivo.
• When prompted, log into myNVivo.
• Click to activate
