General Summary/Overview

Enterprise Research Infrastructure and Services (ERIS: ) provides information services and technologies to enable and drive innovation in research and the clinic across the academic medical centers of Partners HealthCare. ERIS is composed of three service-oriented teams that directly support and collaborate with researchers. ERIS provides applications, processes and resources that support the basic, biomedical and clinical research missions across the Partners HealthCare System. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

ERIS contracted a regulatory consulting team to conduct a 21 CFR Part 11 audit. The purpose of the analysis was to review the current state of documentation, processes and infrastructure in place to support applications as a validated, qualified solution, capable of passing an audit conducted by pharmaceutical-industry auditors and the FDA.
This role will help complete the documentation and perform software system tests that are recommended for establishing and maintaining the operation of systems in a compliant state as well as needed for the defense of audits. 

  • Review, edit, and publish ERIS policies and documents to support software development life cycle.
  • Participate in testing/validation of ERIS application systems.
  • Review documents for activities as authorized and described by procedures and job function.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Create and execute system tests. 


  • Currently pursuing Undergraduate or Graduate Degree
  • Preferred major or course of study: 
    • Health Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Assurance

  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Must be capable of contributing within a team, exhibit a high level of initiative, have an eagerness to learn and support flexible solutions to meet evolving requirements
