Research Applications Training
Repeat: Cluster Users: Parallel Computing with Examples
We are pleased to announce a repeat of Parallel Computing with Examples. This seminar is scheduled for Wednesday May 16th at 3pm.
The seminar will give a overview of Parallel Computing and explain several aspects of it including speed-up, scalability, and implementations. It will then concentrate on actual examples run on our clusters using software present there. This will include mpich2, OpenMP, R-MPI, pyMPI and mpi4py, and Parallel::MPI in Perl. The seminar should be interesting to both new users of our cluster and those users who wish to scale up from embarassingly parallel jobs to implicit parallel computing.
